How to Make Leather Confetti Curlers

Is it obvious that I’ve got scrap leather coming out of my ears? I’ll be adding some more scrap bags to the shop soon, this time with veggie tan scraps. But in the mean time, lets talk about another project to do with small scrap pieces.
Leather confetti curlers.

These are really easy to make and I’m totally using them for the next package that I send out or give.

Start with a strip of veggie tan leather.

Using a spray bottle,

Get it wet.

Veggie tan leather becomes pliable and moldable when wet.

Curl it around itself.

Or you could curl it around something like a knitting needle. Let it dry fully.

For comparison, I used 1 inch, 1/2 inch 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch pieces.

Here are the corresponding curlers.

Paint it gold if you like!
