5 Minute Accordion Puppets

AccordianPuppets (1)

Today we have Heather with an adorable craft idea for you and your littles.

When I was younger, I loved creating these accordion puppets, and my boys do too! They’re so quick and easy to make that we can make a whole bunch in one sitting to take to our friends.

Click through for the instructions….

Supplies:

  • 8.5×11 colored construction paper
  • tape
  • glue
  • scissors
  • googly eyes (optional)

AccordianPuppets (2)

Take a piece of construction paper and fold it into thirds, long ways. Tape closed.

AccordianPuppets (3)

Fold in half, then fold ends toward the center in opposite directions, creating an “accordion” or “M” shape. Decorate into whatever animal or creature you come up with. Googly eyes, tounges, ears, and noses make for easy and fun creatures. When you’re finished, put your fingers and thumb into the slot openings on the accordion base as you would a puppet. Have fun!
