When we moved into our current house the laundry room, although a good size, was beyond disgusting and really a waste of space. You can see from the before pictures!
The tenants before us put up a series of shelves that we still don’t understand and the walls were disgusting. Chris is really handy and he built the most gorgeous shelves and workspace that a girl could ever need.
Although I share my workspace with the laundry room, I really wanted it to be clean and beautiful. These gallery shelves allow for just that. Almost every inch of my studio is functional except for these four shelves and I think that they make all of the difference.
Chris extended the corner of the counter top for more workspace and also for my sewing corner. A stool fits nicely under the extension when I’m sewing and when I’m not sewing, it’s nice to get really close to my work.
We added just one shelf above the washer and dryer and all our laundry needs fit nicely in those baskets.
My favorite part about my studio space is that it allows for me to be close to my children. They are always coming in and working along side me and I love finding their masterpieces on the back of invoices and inside my notebooks.
