Scarf Pattern

2.23 2010

I’ve had a couple of requests for my scarf pattern. I’m more than happy to share, but please know, I am a NOVICE knitter and so if I am using the wrong words or knitting acronyms please let me know.

Cast on 43 stitches
K4 rows garter stitch
continue in same color for next 8 rows

Row 1,3,5:K2, *KFB, K4, sl1, K2tog, psso, K4, KFB* repeat 3 times until last 2 stitches, K2
Row 2,4,6:K2, purl39, K2

At the end of the 12 rows, I knit in a contrasting color 4 rows, using the pattern above.

At the end of 4 rows, I knit in another contrasting color 12 more rows.

Start
Black 12 rows
Aqua 4 rows
White 12 rows
Aqua 4 rows
repeated 7 times

The last Aqua rows I knit in a garter stitch.
