Makin’ Playdough
Sometimes I try to switch things up from our sameoldeverydayboringmorni
Cole loved standing on his little stool and watching (“helping”) me stir all of the ingredients together in a saucepan on the stove (it was safe, I promise).
Here’s a foolproof recipe for play dough that your kids will love (and you may love just as much!)
Velvet Play Dough
1 cup flour
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 cup salt
food coloring
Mix all ingredients, adding food coloring last. Stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from pan and knead until blended smooth and forms a dough. If it it still lumply knead with your hands. Place in plastic bag or airtight container when cooled. Will last for a long time.
*hint, after I made my base color and kneaded it, I just split the dough and put a tiny bit of whatever color in and kneaded it more to make another color!
Let me know how yours turns out!
Freshly Picked Reviews: Xtend Barre Provo
Barre kicked my butt, and I love it.
I’m not the type to work out, but I wanted to make a change, so I decided to eat better and try something new. Provo now has a great place for this called Xtend Barre at the Riverwoods (there are locations all over the country!). Luckily you can see the beautiful mountains because this workout is HARD. I went three times a week for a month and my body definitely changed. The exercises look easy almost but they are so effective, and you look pretty and graceful as you work out…extra motivation!
Thanks Xtend Barre Provo for a very hard but very great month!
