I really struggle with the paper piles around my house. Incoming mail to be filed, shredded, recycled or the worst, acted upon. I seem to let these piles build up even after a thorough cleaning and creating a new system. Well, this activity was made possible by a failed system of plastic folders. I had seen this clever idea and thought it was a good fit for B who is almost two years old.
I made some circle templates out of white paper. I could have traced them directly onto the plastic, but I couldn’t find a washable marker and didn’t want any lines left when I cut out the circles. Holding the template in place, I cut up the colorful vellum folder into a lot of circles. I got the window a little wet and demonstrated to B, how to stick them on. She jumped right in sticking and peeling off the circles. It was a lot of fun to play with the colors by stacking them on top of each other and to see how the sun made them glow. Some are still stuck to the window making a nice stained glass effect.
